Frequently asked questions

How much does a carbon credit cost?

The projects on this page start at £6.00 ($10.00) per tonne, one-off. Prices depend on the project type and standard; volume prices are quoted.

Are the credits retired in our name?

Yes. Each credit is retired on its registry in your company's name, and the certificate lists the serial numbers.

Is there a minimum?

No. You can buy from one tonne.

What is the difference between carbon credits and planting trees?

A credit is a verified tonne of CO2e that you can count against your emissions. Planting trees is a reforestation contribution with an estimated lifetime CO2 absorption; it is not an offset.
