Transparency & Verification

Everything Evertreen sells can be independently verified. Here is exactly how — the registries, methods and rights you can check for yourself, without taking our word for it.

Which registries and projects

For externally verified credits we act as an intermediary: we source from named, vetted projects and retire the credits on your behalf. We do not own or operate the projects, and we say so plainly. Every project is published with its public registry ID (Verra VCS or Gold Standard), so you can look it up directly on the registry.

Every credit is retired once on the Verra Registry or the Gold Standard Impact Registry with a unique serial number, so it can't be double-counted, and we can send you the retirement documentation on request. Where independent ratings exist (BeZero, Sylvera, Calyx Global) and co-benefit labels (CCB, SD VISta), we publish them. For renewable energy we retire Green-e–certified RECs from named US projects, independently audited each year.

See our full, current project lists: Verra (VCS) credits · Gold Standard credits · Renewable energy (RECs).

How we estimate CO₂

Our per-tree "CO₂ absorbed" figure is the total a tree is expected to sequester across its whole lifespan (often decades) — not an annual figure. We model it from real growth data using species-specific allometric equations (GlobAllomeTree, FAO/CIRAD), IPCC 2006 factors and the 3.67 CO₂-to-carbon ratio — roughly 0.8 tonnes over a tree's life, varying by species and site. Trees and certified credits are separate products; we never combine the two figures. Full method → how we estimate a tree's lifetime CO₂.

Pricing

Every plan lists its number of trees, estimated CO₂ and price transparently, and each project is priced by its real cost. See current prices and plans → trees & plans.

How we verify the planting

Certification covers credits; for the planting itself we run a five-step protocol on every site:

  1. Field verification. Teams map a precise GPS boundary of each planting site and record the number of trees planted.
  2. Photo monitoring. Permanent photo points provide a time series of site conditions.
  3. Drone mapping. Aerial mapping of the planting area.
  4. Forest inventory. Semi-random circle plots measure tree survivorship.
  5. Community surveys. Regular socioeconomic surveys measure local impact on livelihoods.

Satellite monitoring tracks growth, photosynthetic activity and water stress. General coordinates appear on every project page, and corporate partners receive the exact GPS coordinates of their own trees.

Project governance

We track the standing of every certified project we offer. When a standards body withdraws a project or places it under review, we remove it from sale — which is why projects named in older third-party coverage are no longer listed.

Your rights

Our terms give a 14-day statutory cooling-off (Clause 7.5) and a full refund at any time before your contribution reaches the Cost Commitment Point (Clause 7.4) — the moment funds are committed to a planting cycle. Reallocation only happens where operationally or seasonally necessary, and always to a project of equal or greater environmental impact. We identify the applicable standard for any contribution on request. See our Terms & Conditions.

Who we are

Evertreen is operated by CG Green Solutions Ltd (UK, company no. 12581125), registered in Brentford. We are a remote-first company: our team works on freelance contracts, and planting is delivered by farmers and local partners engaged through non-profit implementing organisations.

Frequently asked questions

Does Evertreen disclose which registry its carbon credits come from?

Yes. Projects are named with public Verra (VCS) or Gold Standard IDs and retired once with a unique serial number you can look up on the registry yourself.

Is a tonne of CO₂ per tree realistic?

As a lifetime figure — modelled with FAO/CIRAD allometric equations and IPCC factors — around 0.8 tonnes over a tree's whole life is standard. It is not an annual figure.

How much does a tree cost?

Current prices for every plan — the number of trees, estimated CO₂ and cost — are listed on our trees & plans page.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. There is a 14-day statutory cooling-off period, and a full refund at any time before your contribution is committed to a planting cycle.

Do you sell credits from projects a standards body has withdrawn?

No. When a standards body withdraws a project or places it under review, we remove it from sale.

How can I verify any of this?

Email partnerships@evertreen.com for registry serial numbers, GPS coordinates or certificates — or look any project up directly on the Verra or Gold Standard registry.

Check us yourself. Email partnerships@evertreen.com for registry serials, GPS coordinates or certificates. We would rather be checked than believed.
