At Workpunkt, giving back to Gaia isn't a checkbox — it's part of how we measure success. In 2026, we're continuing our partnership with Evertreen, planting 50 trees every month. Every student who moves to Germany for higher education through us receives a gift of 5 trees — a small symbol of growth, hope, and the future they're building. These trees are our way of saying thank you — to our students, our partners, and the planet that makes all of this possible. Because the greatest gift we can leave the next generation is fresh air to breathe.
Journey with us to the breathtaking landscapes of Madagascar, where farmers are leading the charge in reforesting their land in collaboration with Evertreen.
The geographical area of focus of Forest of the World in Honduras is the Nombre de Dios mountain range, which consists of five protected areas; the Pico Bonito National Park, the Texiguat Wildlife Refuge the Nombre de Dios National Park and the Wamakklisinasta and Truktsinasta councils in La Moskitia.
Immerse yourself in the lush landscapes of Madagascar as we explore the vital reforestation efforts led by a dedicated community of women. This video takes you deep into the vibrant forests being revived through their hard work and perseverance. Watch as they meticulously plant saplings, tend to the growing trees, and nurture the biodiversity that makes their island home so unique.
Dive into the world of sustainable agriculture with this in-depth video showcasing Evertreen's comprehensive training program for farmers on reforestation techniques. This enlightening video takes you on-site to witness the transformation of barren lands into lush, green forests through the hard work and dedication of local farmers trained by Evertreen.

Throughout its lifespan, each tree actively absorbs carbon dioxide (CO₂ ) from the atmosphere, storing it within its wooden parts. This crucial process effectively reduces CO₂ levels in the atmosphere, with the magnitude of its impact increasing proportionally to the duration that trees are allowed to grow and thrive.
Our model utilizes diverse data inputs, relying on factors such as tree size, composition, and lifecycle, to generate a robust estimate of the amount of carbon absorbed during the lifetime of a tree. The data used for these calculations is sourced from external consultants and scientific publications and comparable platforms.
Given that it is impractical to measure and weigh each tree annually, and acknowledging natural variations in size, Evertreen incorporates a margin of safety into all our projects. An additional 10-25% more trees are planted beyond the committed quantity to ensure that our calculations lean towards conservatism rather than optimism.
